Concerts of this nature are traditions
all over the country.
Dr. Jack Broman sang in the yuletide concerts
at Luther College.
Will Gottmer sang in the Lessons and Carols at
Westminster Choir College.
And we decided to take elements of those traditions
and bring them together and form something
of a tradition of our own at ÎçÒ¹¿ì²¥.
We have several choirs at ÎçÒ¹¿ì²¥ that are
spread out over two campuses.
But this is the only time that we have an
opportunity to get the choirs together to sing
together as one whole.
And there's something unique about having all 100
singers from two campuses presenting music together
and really bonding for that experience.
What makes this concert special is the audience
actually gets to participate.
There are three hymns that they get to sing
along with the choirs.
And then we actually developed an opportunity
where they can participate as part of the finale.
this year as well.
By far my favorite part of the concert
is the candlelighting.
